Life as an entrepreneur has not been easy at all. Lessons are very expensive. Mistakes made carry huge consequences, some are irredeemable, some are partially redeemable. Mistakes which do not have fatal consequences in the business world are very rare... Now this does not apply to every industry, but the higher the amount of money involved in the business, the higher the risks.
The first lesson I recommend is learning to accept rejection. All business owners must learn to accept rejection in every aspect of the business. You have to understand that failure is proof that you are making efforts. Consultants are people who have a very wide portfolio of experience gotten from failures and success likewise who put them together to guide whoever comes to them for guidance. To excel in your field, you must be a consultant in it. All portholes are not the same size.. You must have a perfect understanding of what the road is to be able to pick out the ditches and portholes.... Since you weren't born with the insights, you must learn them by several attempts and be ready to fail at it.
Who you get your advice or inspiration from matters a lot. The fact that you have been failing in everything doesn't mean that you are being cursed or plagued diabolically. It simply means you are making a lot of wrong decisions. Check those who are successful, what are they doing that you are not doing? Check who you are receiving advice from, are your advisers in the business of precious stones wise bricklayers? or are you receiving tutoring on your marital affairs from a "mummy" or "daddy" who just never got married?
Never look down on anybody. The hungry looking man you look down on may be a rich bag of experience and connection who is having an unfortunate phase of his life. He may have answers to the problems facing you. Treat all men with respect and dignity until they give you reason to doubt them.
